Chairs of ‘regular’ committees are primarily in charge of the well-functioning of the committee, and of the quality of the debate. The first implies a long experience with MUNs and human skills that will allow the Chairs to solve situations between Delegates with care and diplomacy. It also implies a deep knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Procedure (RoP). The second responsibility calls for the Chairs to be experts on the topics being discussed in their committee. They will be the ones writing the Study Guides, which the Content Team will only review.
Note that for the first time, EuroMUN will have a French speaking committee (Conseil Européen) and a Spanish speaking one (Mercosur), for which French and Spanish speaking chairs are welcomed.
Also, we will collaborate with LCM Student Association in having the G20 as a consensus building committee, that will use special rules of procedure to facilitate the negotiations. More updates on the G20 will follow.
