Security Council - B (Crisis)The Security Council is the highest organ in the United Nations framework, solely tasked with the maintenance of global peace and security, the Security Council is permanently working to maintain stability around the world. While only 15 members strong, the Security Council is an effective organ to tackle issues of fundamental importance.
Important remark: The Topics for the Crisis committee will not be published prior to the conference!
To keep in mind
The Security Council Crisis Committee is the most challenging committee that will be offered at EuroMUN 2012. As a delegate of one of the fifteen Member States of the Security Council you will be confronted with an invented but highly realistic crisis, where you have to preserve peace and security in a specific region. Unlike other EuroMUN 2012-committees in which the preparation phase takes place before the conference, as a delegate of the Crisis Committee you will have to directly and quickly adapt to gradual developments in the unknown storyline. During each session you will receive intelligence briefings from your respective government and depending on the decisions of the Security Council you will directly influence the shape of the crisis. Our highly appreciated Crisis Committee took place in each of the past EuroMUNs and also for the upcoming session we look forward to applications from MUN-experienced delegates with an impressive expertise in current medial issues.
