The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), also called the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance between 29 North American and European countries. The organization implements the North Atlantic Treaty that was signed on 4 April 1949. NATO constitutes a system of collective defence whereby its independent member states agree to mutual defence in response to an attack by any external party.

It is Stefanos Agathokleous’ honor to serve as one of the Chairs of NATO for EUROMUN 2019.
He was born in Nicosia, Cyprus and holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Political Science. Currently, he is studying a Joint International Master’s Degree of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Kent and University of Marburg. He has been participating in MUNs as a delegate and chairs the last couple of years, both in Cyprus and abroad like Rome, Luxembourg, Madrid, and the UK. The Model United Nations are a great way of not only improving public speaking but debate and diplomatic skills as well. However, fun must not be forgotten in the process. Stefanos is committed to making the conference an amazing experience for all! He is looking forward to meeting all of you in Maastricht and wants to remind you: “An ambassador is not simply an agent; he is also a spectacle”.
Kelli-Anne Tim was born in Johannesburg, South Africa before she immigrated to Toronto, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at York University in Toronto. Currently, she’s studying her Masters in History, Political Science, and Sociology at the University of Siegen in Germany. She discovered her passion for MUN at her first conference in November 2016. Since then, she participated in many conferences as a delegate, a chair, press director and a Secretariat Member at conferences throughout Europe. Beyond her love of MUN, she loves dogs, binge watching tv shows, traveling, playing tabletop games and of course, partying. She is excited to be chairing at EuroMUN2019 and looks forward to seeing you all there!
